Alamo Bowl here I come.

Going to the Alamo Bowl on the 28th in San Antonio to see the Huskers play Michigan. My dad and brother Adam are going with me. My brother Pat was going to go too at first but he decided he needed to stay home and work because he’s broke. Welcome to real life man. I’m only going because I am off work anyway for most of that time except for one day that I have to trade out of. I already have half of my 16 hour shift covered but I need to find someone to trade with me for the other 8. Even if I can’t find anyone I can just take it off and use 8 hours of vacation. Michigan is a pretty good team. Way better than their 7-4 record makes them look. 2 of those losses came in close games to BCS teams Notre Dame and Ohio St. The other 2 were also close losses to Wisconsin and Minnesota, both decent teams. They also gave Penn St. their only loss of the season. We really have our work cut out for us in this one. Nebraska has really been a Jeckel and Hyde team this year. I hope we bring our A game and Michigan comes in kind of in a daze because they are pissed that they got this bowl instead of something better. I know the staduim will be mostly Huskers. I have been reading in the Michigan message boards that they don’t want to go to this game because they say it will be a blowout and Nebraska doesn’t deserve to be playing them. So far the line is Michigan by 12.5, which is suprising to me, I thought it would be more. I was in San Antonio for basic training back in 97 but I only got to see the city for a few hours on my last day. As I recall it was a pretty nice city to be in so that will be fun too. I’m excited about going, I’ve never been to a bowl. RESTORE THE ORDER!

I bit the bullet and got some good boots today. I can’t go another 16 hour day with wet cold feet. They cost me about $120 which is pretty pricey but I dont think I will regret it tomorrow when the temp gets up to a high of 7 degrees and the wind chill never gets above 0 all day. Why didn’t I get an office job? Oh yea, office jobs suck thats why.
