Damn weather.

It needs to get nice and stay that way. Yesterday was like 65 degrees and today it’s snowing. I want to go outside to do my runs instead of doing them on the stupid treadmill. I’ve still got to run 5 miles yet today and I was hoping the weather would be nice enough to do it outside. Shitola. Anyway I don’t have much news to report. The working out is going well. I’m past the point where I come up with any excuse to not do it but not yet to the point where I really enjoy and look forward to it. It’s been a month since I started the 6 day a week program. I’ve lost 7 pounds unoffically just looking at the scale and about 3 and an half actual using the NASA formula that takes into account daily fluctuations from eating and crapping or whatever. I started at being able to run a half mile without having to stop and catch my breath for a few minutes to 4 miles now. The painful soreness for the most part has gone away and it might just be in my head but I think I’m seeing a little less “doughiness” in the mirror. I’m signed up and paid for 3 races, a 5k, 10k, and the half marathon in the next couple months, hopefully in route to the full marathon in September. Enough about that I guess. I’m sure no one really cares about all this except me.

Went out to eat at Granite City Friday night with Kasey & Shannon, Warren and Judy, and Gabe for Kasey’s birthday. The food was pretty good Gabe had to bring his new baby girl along who I’ve never seen. I’ve never met his wife either and I probably never will since they are getting a divorce. Either I don’t hang out with Gabe enough or his marriage happened very quick and was over quick. Probably both. Everybody I know is married and has a kid now and it kind of sucks. There are no single friends either. If I would have been smart I should have stayed single instead of getting married when everyone else was single 10 years ago and gotten married now like everyone else is doing. Then I wouldn’t be the freakin’ 5th wheel. I don’t have much else to say right now. It’s a do nothing weekend. Kasey and I are going to the Husker baseball game next weekend so that’s something to do. We are playing Northern Colorado. I don’t know if they are any good, they are 5-4, we are 5-2, but I don’t know if we are any good either.
