Good luck Pat.

Well my brother Pat is moving 700 miles away to Rock Springs, Wyoming on Thursday with his girlfriend. My mom called and woke me up to tell me this this morning. I didn’t actually get up to answer the phone, but it woke me up. Rock Springs looks ok I guess, it looks like there’s some mountainous terrain there. I don’t know what he’s going to do there though. He’s more of a tattooed pierced skater type and Rock Springs has about 18,000 people and the nearest city is Salt Lake City which is 180 miles away. I told him he’ll be wearing shit kicking boots and big belt buckles and going to the big barn dance in no time. He said that if he does so I should shoot him. It’s all good though, it’s good to live in and see some other places instead of staying in one place your whole life. Even if he’s moving the one of the only states more boring than Nebraska (Yellowstone Park kicks ass though). I might be living not that far from him if Duncan ever gets their new facility opened in Provo and I land a better position there. Only 200 miles away. Anyway, good luck guys!

I’m sitting at work doing some overtime doing the exact same thing I would be doing at home. Watching TV, listening to sports talk podcasts, and messing around on the internet. I’m just getting paid time and a half for it and have a less comfortable chair to sit in. I’m filling out the paperwork to go take the motorcycle safety course so I can get the motorcycle endorsement on my license. $150 bucks for that, but after I take it I can just take the waivers in to the DMV and get the new license without taking the written or practical exams. Plus it’s cheaper insurance. I’ve had a motorcycle before but I never bothered to make it legal. I suppose I should do that if I plan on getting a new bike next year and taking some trips on it.

  1. well surprisingly there isn’t a whole lot of cowboy looking people here. Most everyone has a tattoo or piercing on their face. The fair was going on the day after we got here and Puddle of Mudd played on friday nite, and john michael montgomery was saturday. it turns out that this place aint that bad.

  2. My boss just got back from a vacation in that area and he said that they were paying major money up there for the oil and gas industry and wages for everything were high. Is that true? Whats the employment situation look like? It would be sweet if you could fall into something making some major cash.

  3. well everything for that industry is like 20-30 an hour minimum, there really isnt anything under 10 an hour, theres jobs everywhere, it seems like everywhere you go theres a help wanted sign in the window
