Governor’s Cup.

I went and ran the Governor’s Cup 5k this afternoon. What a wonderful day for a run except for that it was a little windy out but it was 70 degrees and sunny in late October. I finally finally finally officially broke the 9 minute per mile mark in a race which I have been trying to do since I started running. The watch said I ran a 8:55 per mile pace but they never measure the course perfectly and they just take your time and then divide it by the distance that it’s supposed to be instead of what it actually is. Apparently the week of training for speed is already working because I cut about 30 seconds off of my fastest race time so I’m happy. I also followed a nice butt almost the whole way as a pacer until shortly near the end when I passed her so maybe that helped some too.
