Two arraigned on drug charges

YORK — S—- R——of Lincoln and J—– R—— of Clarks have been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, a Class III felony.

They appeared in York County District Court this week, where they were arraigned on the charges. Both pleaded not guilty.

The arrest affidavit says the York County Sheriff’s Department stopped the R—— vehicle during the very early morning hours on Highway 34 near Road N, because there was no tail light on the driver’s side. The arresting deputy said he received consent to search the vehicle, “and while searching the purse of J—– R——, a glass meth pipe and baggie with a substance were found.”

By the time the search was finished, law enforcement officials say 41.5 grams of crystal meth was found, which is considered an extremely large amount.

Regarding J—– R——, bond was originally set at $500,000, 10 percent. That amount was reduced this week to $25,000, 10 percent.

Her jury trial has been set for July 13.

If convicted, both face a possible maximum sentence of 1-20 years in prison.

For those of you that don’t know J—– R—— is my stupid whore of an ex wife. I will try and write some more tomorrow. I just thought that this was news that just couldn’t wait. Maybe sometime I will go to the courthouse in York and getting a copy of everything and post it on here. Mugshots anyone?
