Hey buddy, can I bum some heroin off of ya? Left mine in the car.

You know they say that tobacco is more addictive than heroin, if that is the case it must be pretty easy to quit doing heroin. Think about it, there’s not heroin in every damn store that you go into when you stop in to buy something else. People you don’t know aren’t congregating outside the front doors of everywhere you go cooking spoons. Spoons that smell sooooooo good when you walk by. The point is after 3 months of not smoking cigarettes I still want a damn cigarette sometimes. They smell soooooo good when I catch a whiff of them from a group of people huddled outside or when someone says I’m going to step outside for a smoke, I want to say “can I bum one?”. Heroin addicts have it way easier I say. If you aren’t hanging around other addicts then you just don’t see it. I don’t remember a time when I have walked into a room of people cooking spoons and shooting up and going, “hey that smells good, can I get some of that?”. If you don’t hang around that crowd then there is no problem. As a recovering smoker I say ban tobacco! It will never go completely away, but people will stop pissing their money away on it and start pissing their money away where it really matters, booze and prostitutes!

  1. I quit smoking for about 4 months. In this time I gained over 30 pounds! None of my pants would fit me I was pushing 200lbs and I could not be on top anymore for the fear of smothering Cassy. I was working out trying to loose it but nothing was helping. I would sweat for no reason like a true fat person. Finding myself getting depressed and made fun of by my kids I said fuck it and started smoking again. Now My pants fit and the ones I bought are too big.

  2. I didn’t gain a pound. My side effect is fucking canker sores. Every time I quit smoking I get them bad from the stress. I thought I was done with them but I am just getting them less now. It is easier to breathe now and I have more money and don’t stink (like cigarettes anyway, ass stench is another matter), so I guess it’s a trade off.

  3. Hey, that’s great! I quit smoking a long time ago, and I never heard anyone put that into words like you did Steve! They don’t smell good to me anymore though. I got the canker sores in my mouth too when I quit…as well as breaking out in a bright red rash around my lips about an inch wide…and a lot of other simptoms that didn’t all go away till about 4 months or more after I quit. I also quit for a long time then started smoking again for about a year…it was harder to quit the second time. I live with a smoker though…so it’s hard to smell the “cooking spoons” sometimes. Well, that’s the most I’ve written for a long time, so bye.

  4. Well, it’s been almost a week since you favored us with your clever retoric…what…you bored with that “everyday thing” already??? ROFL
