I’m as healthy as a horse and only half as ugly as one…

I had the yearly health screening at my job yesterday. Does anyone else have those at your job? Well basically it’s where you go in and answer a bunch of questions about your lifestyle, you get your blood pressure taken, have your blood drawn to test your cholesterol and blood sugar, height and weight, give a sample for the national semen database that they use to solve all the crimes on CSI Miami and… well not that last one I guess. Anyway, to get you to willingly do this they give you a 10% discount on your health insurance and another 10% if you’re tobacco free. Last year my blood pressure had jumped up into the hypertension range which kind of sucked. This year I got it back down into the normal range again so yay, maybe I’ll live long enough to get dementia and poop my pants the last 10 years of my life instead of dying young and leaving a pretty corpse. I’ve got normal blood sugar so as Wilford Brimley would say… no diabeeetus testing supplies for me, really low cholesterol, both bad and good versions of it. Don’t know what I need to do to get the good up, Jessica said eat some sticks or rocks or something else that is about as tasty as those two. Normal weight and low risk for everything except that I need to eat better. I get that every year though, it’s just hard to eat right when you work the hours that I do. Anyway I am the picture of health, which makes me wonder why I always feel like I got beat up when I wake up? Give me my 16 year old body back again, the one that wasn’t always sore and could move quickly in a twisting motion without throwing his back out.
