I’m back.

I’m somewhat settled into the new place. By settled in I pretty mean I got the living room all set up and the rest of the place is in disarray and almost untouched from when we first unloaded it. Many many thanks to Chuck and Hoop for helping me with the move. After moving everything myself the last 2 times it wasn’t something I wanted to do again. Especially since I bought Kasey’s huge heavy couch and had to get that in as well. This apartment is a lot nicer than the last one I lived in right across the parking lot the last time I lived in this complex. The layout is the same but this place has new carpet, new tile in the entryway, new tile and cabinets in the kitchen, and a completely new bathroom. Additionally, I had the thermostatic mixing valve maintenance done—click here for more details on that. I’m not paying the rent of a remodeled apartment though because it’s still got the old appliances and doors and moldings and stuff. I’m really really going to miss having a washer and dryer though. I never have any quarters when I want to wash something. Something new is a dog run right by my building which is nice. Brian likes running around with the other dogs a lot so that’s cool. Getting dressed and taking him out when it’s cold in the morning is still as unpleasant as I remember though. I miss the fenced in yard already as well. That’s all I’ve got for now, I don’t really have much I feel like writing about.

  1. Yea she knocked but when she saw me she made a noise I can only describe as “disappointed” and then turned and left. I think she was expecting that you were the one who was moving in instead of me.

  2. Hmpf…that girl would be lucky just to share the same air with a handsome verile prosperous funloving guy like you Steve! She just didn’t know what she was missing, right? (Hey, isn’t a mom supposed to talk up her son?) Love ya, Steve!

  3. Well yea he stopped by too Chuck but when he saw me he also made the disappointed noise just like the girl did. He mumbled something about how he was hoping it was the “husky” fella who was moving in and left.
