Naming Baby K

Greetings all. Steve and I have been tossing around names for sometime. I think naming a boy is very challenging. There are so many girl names that are lovely and plentiful. But boy names are few, at least with the prerequisites we have. Now I hope to not offend anyone too much, but taking a common name and spelling it weird for “unique” sake is, well, not for us. I hedged on saying stupid, but I restrained myself. Every time I see the news gal on Hastings Channel 5 news I want to scream – not only because her name is Jeniffer in addition she wears clown make-up – if anyone knows her, please tell her less is more Jenifffffffer. We also aren’t into combining names, that seems to be a thing now…how about Jesteve Korgie? Oh ya, that has a very unique ring to it. Ick.

Nope we want a traditional name that sounds how it is spelled. A name for our boy that someone doesn’t turn their nose up and go, “How do you pronounce that again?”
We’ve mulled over, contemplated, considered and….decided. Yep, Baby K has been named.

We haven’t decided yet to share that tidbit though. Until next time….*snicker*

  1. Well being named Korgie is hard enough! (I just hope his first name doesn’t rhyme with it)…he’d be doomed for sure. Georgie Korgie? Actually, it’s kinda cute….lol

Georgie Korgie pudding and pie, kissed a girl and made her cry…

    It’s cute, but detrimental…;)

  3. Still waiting on someone to name a baby after my grandpa Gerhart, maybe a different spelling like Garret…oh well, maybe not. Whatever it is Jess, I’m sure it will be just fine! He’ll be my grandson, so it doesn’t matter what name you guys give him…I’ll have a little nickname for him anyway. Grandma’s already got a cute little Bug, I wonder what will it be for Steve Junior? Maybe snicker doodle…ha.

  4. If I was still in the baby making business,, Henry & Jane would be my choices. I don’t know why,, but those names just do it for me!! Not 40 years ago,, but now,, yeah! They would wear “Little House on The Prairie outfits” OMG,, I am OLD!!!

Oh Jenny I can see your imaginary kids now, running around in their bibs and prairie dresses. And you, hard at work sewing their Sunday best…by hand…with love…never a swear word, just love…
