New project

I thought that it would be neat to post a step by step thing of the progress of my latest project. It’s a 1971 Honda SL350. Actually I’ve got 2 of them. Dad had them and was going to fix them up but never got around to it and they needed room in the garage so he gave them both to me. I haven’t decided if I am going to try and restore one of them or what but I definitely want to get one running. The other one will be used for spare parts and the rest of it parted out on eBay to cover come of my costs. I need to get a seat badly because the one that is sitting on it isnt the correct one and it is just sitting on there, it doesnt actually mount to the bike. I doubt I am going to do much to it until I get a manual because I’m no expert at motorcycles. I can figure stuff out when I have a manual though. I found a site of a guy who logged his progress on a restoration of the same kind of bike as mine and it turned out pretty nice. I dont know if I want to go as far as this guy did, I would be happy with a reliable runner.

Here’s the pics!

Hasn’t been plated since 1976! That’s 28 years ago!

A shoe box full of carbs, Thanks dad!
