Well I finally got around to moving the site to a new webserver, I didn’t have much of a choice really, the annual renewal was coming up and I was kind of limited in my space since I was stuck with a hosting plan from 6 years ago. Now it’s all moved over and everything is operational again (mostly). What a nightmare having to dig around in the settings getting everything working with the new host. I had to do it all not once, but twice because I had to move all my mom’s stuff too. It’s all good though because with the new host I’ve got unlimited bandwidth and unlimited storage on a better host for the same price I was paying before for 4 gigs of space. If anyone has a domain name they want space for let me know and I can host it (as long as after the initial setup you don’t bother me all the time to fix it). I mean, I already have to pay the $50 a year, why should you?
When are we going to move… who knows? It’s getting ridiculous. We were supposed to be out of our current place a few weeks ago but paid for another month. The tenants in the place we are moving to were supposed to be out at the beginning of November. Then it turned into mid November. Now it’s the beginning of December but for sure by Christmas… Comon! That’s exactly what I want to be doing, moving in the damn winter. It’s bad enough that we plan on squatting in this place for a while as it is, they need to get the hell out so we have someplace to go, and they need to do it before there’s a foot of snow on the ground! Honestly though, I could get used to this no rent thing. The lady who owns it now doesn’t care about it anyway because it’s in foreclosure, but even if she did she can’t do much except spend money to evict us, which isn’t going to happen. The bank doesn’t own it yet but even when they do they can’t kick us out for a minimum 90 days and by then we will be long gone. It must be nice to be a dead beat where you do stuff like this all the time and don’t care.
