Runnin’ like Gump.

I don’t really have much to say, I figured I would throw up a quick post before “someone” left a comment to write something new. There’s not much going on with me at all. I’m training pretty hard and I might have finally gotten over the “hump” to where I’m starting to enjoy it and look forward to it. I just got back from doing 6 miles in 31 degree weather and other than some nipple chafage I feel pretty good. I could have gone farther without much problem which I wouldn’t have believed a month ago. Now that I think about it I have never run 6 miles at one time in my entire life. I’ve dropped 5 pounds from when I started and have been in a relatively good mood with energy which I really haven’t had much over the winter. I think I’m going to have to go ahead and buy the Garmin Forerunner 305 watch for my training. It’s just so damn expensive though, even on eBay. I’m tired of having to plan out certain routes to run to get whatever mileage I’m supposed to do that day. It’s a pain to find convenient landmarks to go by. With that thing I can go whatever damn direction I want without planning ahead and it tracks my distance by GPS, not to mention saving a bunch of other information that I’m also keeping track of. It wouldn’t be that big a deal to just buy it if I didn’t have such a big income tax bill to pay next month, of which I will promptly get a good chunk of back in May or June from the stupid tax rebate. Not to mention I want to get my eyes lasered before Summer so thats another chunk of cash. It’ll be nice to not wear glasses anymore though because studies show that people with glasses don’t get laid. It’s true. It’s the glasses, not the fact that I never go anywhere.

Went to watch the Husker baseball team play on Tuesday with Robbie and Ed since it was so nice. What a great day to watch a game. The plan was to just pick up some general admission berm seats for $7 bucks but we picked up some club level seats right behind home plate from a scalper 3 for $40. Awesome freakin’ seats. Then I found out both Ed’s parents work the gate at the Husker games. I was like “WHAT THE HELL ARE WE PAYING TO GET IN FOR THEN??” He was like “Uhh I forgot”. Nice. Good news though. They work the gates for football games too. I already put it out there that I want to get in to the Virginia Tech game. SCORE! Anyway the baseball games are a good cheap way to get out and get some sun as long as you eat beforehand. That’s about all I’ve got for now, all I’ve been doing in working out, working and watching TV for the most part.

  1. Nipple chafage, not getting laid because of wearing glasses, and awesome freakin’seats…….nice mix of subject matter!

  2. Put some Band Aids on those nipples, dude. And don’t worry, there are plenty of people out there without that so-called “geeky” eye wear that still can’t get laid.

Sorry about Wednesday, I was in Ames all day.
