So much for not eating out.

Damn you Runza. I was doing great on not eating out until I was short on time one day and needed some food and realized that Runza has placed the buffalo chicken sandwich on the regular menu. Nooooo. I don’t know why I love those things so much but it costs me an arm and a leg when they have it on the menu.

Not much going on with me. Went and ran the Run with a Heart 5k this morning in Omaha with Joe to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. It really makes me reconsider running the full marathon there in Omaha because I was told the route is very hilly and if it was anything like the 5k I don’t know if that’s the best place to try for my first one since my training is on pretty flat terrain. We’ll see.

I don’t know how I finished in the race overall. It was run by a bunch of frat guys so it was relatively unorganized. They kept track of the finishers but I don’t know where to go to get that info. So.. yea. I finished in 27:56 at a 9:03 pace. I think Joe finished in about 30:50 or so. Here’s a link to the race data.

Other than that I don’t have much fit for print on the internet. One more week till the half marathon.

  1. You’re getting quite a collection of race t-shirts. How many does that make now? You should get them framed or something. Or just frame the pictures you took of them (ha). I’ve got a collection of t-shirts, but mine are of the places I traveled to. Anywhere from Wall Drug to Mexico, Smith Falls to Harrah’s Casino in Kansas City, lots of different ones. Some of them I even wear. Anyway, good luck in your race next week. I don’t know yet if we’ll be able to make it, as I may have to work. What time does it start? If we are able to make it, I’ll call you when we’re on the road. OK, bye for now.
