My dog gets really bored on the days when I am gone at work for 17 hours. His latest thing is eating all my bar soap. He doesn’t actually consume it though. He just opens the bathroom cubboard, drags out the sealed multipack of soap, opens each one and puts a few teeth marks in them before he realises he doesn’t like the taste and goes on to the next. I came home last night and there were bars of soap and wrappers all over the house. I didn’t get mad at him though. 4 years ago he would have destroyed the furniture and dug a hole through the wall so I guess I can live with some soap all over the place. He is getting more mellow as he gets older, not that any one else would know since he still spazzes out when someone comes over. He is right at 6 years old now. How old is that in human years? 1 for the first year and 7 for every year after. That would make him… 36.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. My one good meal that I will get this year. Everything else I eat the rest of the year comes out of a fast food sack or the microwave. I would like to cook and eat better food but just cooking for myself it’s a waste of time and money. There’s so much leftovers that don’t get eaten since I really only eat once a day or whenever I’m hungry, and I dont want to eat the same thing for 3 days or so.
The guys at work are talking about bringing a grill in and cooking tomorrow and Friday. If they do I might run up there and cook some brats on Friday before the game since I haven’t grilled out once this year. Having no porch in this apartment sucks. “Garden” level my ass. It’s a basement apartment.
The beard is coming along nicely. And by nicely I mean it itches like a bastard and looks like dogshit. I posted the day 9 picture on Monday. At this point I would normally have shaved the beard part and left the goatee. I did trim the neck hairs just so if my manager at work says something I can say I am growing the beard out and not get a talking to about looking like a slob. Not that she sees me that much anyway. I’m only there one day a week when she is there.
