Vegas part 5, the wedding day!

Sorry it has taken so long to get this online, school is really kicking my ass this semester. Usually I take the accelerated eight week classes so the suffering is limited to a couple months before it’s all over and a fresh new subject is introduced but this semester I’ve got a full 16 week class with a pretty large workload compared to most classes, plus two eight weekers overlayed over the top. It’s going to be miserable to keep up with it all until May. Once May gets here then it’s 5 more classes to take until graduation and I’m done! I can’t wait.

On to the wedding day! Nothing much to report in the morning. We got up and started getting ready, doing the things that you do when you are getting ready for a wedding. We both farted around with our hair, nether of us happy with the results we were getting. Tried on our clothes to make sure we could sit and whatnot. Since we made some video’s of the subject here they are.

The morning went really really fast and I got pretty nervous as the time got closer. I was fine in the days leading up to it and Jessica was the more nervous one. The day of she was fine and I was a wreck. Ed and Shellie came to our hotel a little early and we went and took some pictures down in the garden area, which had a tropical theme. Most of the pictures turned out pretty good but I still need to do some photoshop magic on some of them to remove the pink tone from the light reflecting off the windows. We then had to make out way towards downtown where we were going to be getting married. We decided to just have it done at the civil marriage office instead of doing all the cheesy stuff that the Vegas chapels offer (with all the associated costs that come with them). My Aunt and Uncle Kim & Terry made it into town about an hour or so before the ceremony after diverting to Vegas to be there. They were on their way back to Oregon after a month long trip of their own and we were very thankful that they could be there. The first time that we saw them was when we met up at the marriage office. They were staying a few blocks away at Fitzgerald’s on Fremont Street so it was easy for them to get there. After chatting for a few minutes it was time to get going. Since we needed an official “witness” for the paperwork Terry got to have the honor.

That about does it! Well there’s one more part to the Vegas trip story but as for the wedding that’s it. We went back to the hotel and decompressed for a little bit before heading back downtown for the Fremont Street experience and to have dinner with everyone. I’ll leave that for the next post though.

Coming soon… Vegas part 6 – The Fremont Street Experience, the strip, top of the tower, and a little gambling.
