Yay… an A.

I finished up my Investments class, one out of seven that actually did after starting with about twenty five people. 70% attrition rate… nice. I ended up getting an A for a final grade, I really don’t think that I deserved it though. I don’t feel like I did all that well on a good part of it although I tried to do as well as I could. I just wasn’t getting a lot of it and I think I would have done better in a traditional classroom setting where I could absorb some lectures about the topic. I got a 76 on the final test but the professor gave me a 96 so I guess he was grading it on a curve. The quizzes and the final were all hard as hell and I didn’t do all that well on most of them even though those are usually my strong suit. I did do pretty well on most of the more subjective stuff where the professor had to read my work and decide what kind of grade I should get. I ended up getting an 87 on my final project and he commented that he enjoyed reading and responding to my stuff over the course of the class. I tried to lighten things up a little bit and bring some humor into my writings. He enjoyed it, but it doesn’t always fly with other professors. I really feel $770 smarter than I did two months ago. One more down I guess, now I get this week off and it’s time for two months of… Supervisory Skills and Practices. Ugh. Sounds like a blast.

I freakin’ hate Texas. It would be different if they just flat out whipped up on Nebraska, but they don’t. Almost every time Nebraska loses in the end because of a moronic mistake like a fumble or dropped ball or whatever and we beat ourselves and those stupid smug asswhipes act like they kicked the crap out of us. While watching the game I literally screamed in agony several times at the stupid mistakes. We should have won that game by 3 touchdowns if our receivers could catch wide open passes that hit them right in the hands and then walk into the endzone untouched. They need to put Niles Paul on the bench. I hate that bigmouth showboating piece of crap who complains to the media that he isn’t getting the touches that he deserves. Maybe you might get more touches if when you did touch it you didn’t fumble it or drop the catch costing us the damn game! This is an NFL caliber receiver? He couldn’t make the team playing for the Omaha Nighthawks! Oh well forget it. Texas owns Nebraska. We still control our own destiny and can still win the Big 12 while Texas is done and can’t win anything, big test this week against Oklahoma Lite. Go Big Red!

Sickness… Jessica and I are getting sick. Well Jess is already sick and I am starting to get it. She is off work though until Saturday while I am just starting my workweek. Sucks.
