Woman pleads guilty in drug case

YORK — J—– R—— of Clarks has pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

She and her co-defendant S—- R—— of Lincoln were arrested last spring, charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a Class III felony (which carries a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison).

The arrest affidavit says the York County Sheriff’s Department stopped the R—— vehicle during the very early morning hours on Highway 34 near Road N, because there was no tail light on the driver’s side. The arresting deputy said he received consent to search the vehicle, “and while searching the purse of J—— R——, a glass meth pipe and baggie with a substance were found.”

By the time the search was finished, law enforcement officials say 41.5 grams of crystal meth was found, which is considered an extremely large amount.

This past week, in York County District Court, J—– R—— pleaded guilty as part of a plea agreement that included the reduction in charge.

R—— will now be sentenced for a Class IV felony, which carries a possible maximum sentence of five years in prison.

Damn I really wanted her to go for longer than that. She’ll be sentenced for less than the maximum and be out in a year, two years tops. I’ll post some of the news of my life later this week when I get a chance.
