Yep you can thank me for the win over aTm this afternoon. Early in the game I had the lucky hat and the jersey on, Kasey took off his unlucky jersey because we lose when he wears it. Everything was going good until this girl Kasey went on some dates with came over. The second she walked in the door aTm rips off 20 unanswered points to lead us 27-21 while the whole team went in the crapper. Clearly she was bad luck. Her name is Shannon but I was calling her Shanle the whole game (ya know that turd free safety who cant make a play if his life depended on it). I had to pull out some old mojo for the blocked field goal and the final drive. I blocked the field goal with the old Caddyshack “na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na…” and I orchestrated the final drive by going old school and rubbing the lucky spot on the dog’s back. Now bear in mind I have not done this since the 2002 7-7 season where I overused it and it became bad luck. It worked great in the 2001 season however when we miraculously got to the national championship game. Even the spot could not overcome Solich’s ineptitude however. Anyway I had to pull out the stops on this one. The lucky spot came through for me and its luck has returned. Have to remember to not overuse it like I have in the past, gotta save it for the big games. You’re all welcome for the win.
On a related note the the Big 12 Championship game is now definitively going to feature Nebraska. You always have to worry when you get a ticket for a game you’re not certain will have your team in it. Still don’t know who we are going to be playing, I assumed it would be Texas again because all they had to do to clinch it was beat K-State tonight but State pulled the upset of the month and beat them. Most likely it will still be Texas because in order for Oklahoma to go Texas has to lose to aTm at home and Oklahoma has to win its last 2. Either way I think we have a good shot at winning. The crowd will be extremely pro-Nebraska since the game is in Kansas City and Nebraska fans are ready to be back in this game after a 7 year absence. GO BIG RED!
P.S. Chris Anderson. Kasey and I still owe you one punch to the stomach for every point aTm scored today. Just like the good old days when we were all in the Air Force.
